John Rafferty - Senior Manager

John is a senior manager in the Manchester Office, though the nature of his work takes him all over the country, particularly London. He has specialised full-time in fraud investigations and the interpretation of financial evidence in criminal cases since 1993, working originally as an investigating accountant with the Serious Fraud Office and since 1997 in private practice. His experience covers a wide range of cases including theft, deception, fraudulent trading, false accounting, tax evasion, directors’ disqualification, breaches of insolvency and Companies Act law, advance fee frauds, investment schemes and confiscation actions. He has also handled various internal corporate fraud investigations, including accounting black holes and breach of fiduciary duties by company directors where civil and criminal litigation has been involved.
