Divorce proceedings: assessing true income
A company owner was undergoing divorce proceedings; supported by his business accountant, he declared very low earnings from that company on his Form E.

We calculated his earnings to be four times higher than the levels he had declared. At the trial, the judge insisted that the accountants meet before he heard any financial issues or evidence.

When we met, the husband’s accountant admitted that he had been trying to help this client, not the court. He agreed our figures, which were put in writing with no need for oral evidence.
